I was the quiet shy type, often finding myself lending a listening ear to those who needed to
talk and vent about anything and everything from school pressures to intimacy issues. These
impromptu “sessions” occasionally led to finding clarity on what to do about their respective
situations; while other times I was having to console and motivate my fellowman to get
through these seemingly trying times. It was from these particularly diverse interactions that I
had learnt, that I wanted to work with people and not so much for people. And so in 2016 my
journey to fulfilling my dream of starting Full Circle Counselling began.
I have volunteered at Hope House Counselling Centre in Kuilsriver and Halli Trust in Somerset West.
Intern Counsellor in Kenilworth at Tharagay House (secondary-care rehab) and brieflyworked at Tharagay Place (sober living facility) as a Recovery Assistant.
Akeso Stepping Stones/ Beach House in Kommetjie providing support to clients with
substance abuse issues, process disorders and other mental health diagnosis.
